There are several things to rave about Jonas but I will start with patience. As most people know where they are moving to, or at least a general area, we just knew we were moving out on Manhattan with no particular place in mind. The only factor was the commute to Manhattan for work, then it was commute and ranch house (no stairs), then it was commute, ranch house and a pool. LOL This means we had Jonas all over the map. We zigged and zagged all over Northern NJ to open houses and private showings and Jonas always showed up with a smile.
Next is knowledge and again, patience, as we were first time home buyers. Complete novices. He didn't just open a door, read the sellers spec sheet to us and let us walk around, he walked with us. Reminded us, several times, what to look for and look out for. Finding the hot water heater and HVAC, checking dates for age of equipment. Talked about the neighborhoods, comps and trend in buying in those neighborhoods.
I should mention that I am, at times, ADHD, OCD, impatient and confused easily when it comes to the process of applying for a loan, all the steps required to buying a house and the order in which things are done. That didn't stop me from calling, texting and emailing Jonas all the time with repetitive questions to which he would calmly walk me through things over and over again, always reassuring. LOL.
He helped with referrals for an attorney, inspector and a contractor when we thought we were going to buy a fixer upper (glad we didn't).
He helped with strategy when competing for homes, especially in this market when homes were going for $50K - $80K over asking.
I can use words like professional, knowledgeable and instills confidence...and they would be true, but I would personalize it more to friendly, helpful and like working with family. And did I mention patient.
Maybe this is how all real estate agents operate or maybe it's just him. I wouldn't really know. He was the first person recommended to us and we had no cause to look for anyone else...and that is on him and how he worked with us. I will finish with, I appreciate him.
Jonas went above and beyond when he signed on to sell my house. He kept me updated constantly and helped me with getting contractors to do some work on my house to get it ready to put on the market. He gave me great advice and kept me on my timeline. He simultaneously was helping find my new home which I love. I can’t thank him enough for everything he did for me.
